Online Blackjack is a card game that can be lots of fun and is a lot
cheaper to play than online Roulette but the player can still win lots
of money. The object of online Blackjack is to beat the dealer. The player
wins with either a blackjack, which is a picture and an ace, 21 or a
score higher than the dealer. If the player scores higher than 21 then
they go bust. The dealer must draw cards for himself up to 16 but stand
on anything 17 or above. Traditionally blackjack is played by a number
of people at once or the player can play the dealer on their own.
There are usually 4 to 6 packs of cards played at once in blackjack.
With online casinos, the cards are randomly generated but are still
drawn the same as a land based casino only that the cards are never
shuffled. The cards are dealt from a box called a shoe.
The player places their bet on their chosen box and the dealer in turn
deals the player 2 cards and either 1 or 2 cards to himself depending
on which type of Blackjack game the online casino is using. Many online
casinos differ. Some casinos choose to have 2 cards to the dealer with
the last card being dealt face down and is turned over after every player
has played their hand.
The fist box on the table decides whether they want a card. For example,
if the player has 18 and the dealer has a 6. It's down to the player to decide
whether their hand will be better than the dealers when he draws or turns over
his last card after everybody has drawn theirs. It's quite simple and easy
to learn and much easier than online Roulette.
After everybody has drawn his or her cards the dealer draws his or turns
over his final card. For example, with his 6 he draws a 3 and an 8; he
has 17 so he has to stand. He then pays the winning bets and removes
the losing ones. If the dealer busts then everybody wins. If the dealer
has a higher score than the player, they lose.
Blackjack Doubles
In online Blackjack, the players can double their bets when prompted
by the online casino. To double their bet they must wager their initial
stake. They are allowed only one card. For more information on Blackjack

Splitting Cards
In online Blackjack if the player draws 2 cards with the same face value
they have the option to split the cards into 2 separate hands. The player
has to bet their initial stake. The player can carry on drawing more
cards on both hands. If the player splits aces then they are only allowed
1 card and no blackjacks. The player can have multiple splits if their
remaining splits draw the same card. Check out our article about splitting
